The Cheshire Resilience Forum (CRF) brings together emergency services, councils, health agencies, utlities and voluntary groups to prepare for and respond to major incidents.
Category 1 responders are organisations at the core of the response to most emergencies (the emergency services, local authorities, NHS bodies).
Category 2 organisations (the Health and Safety Executive, transport and utility companies) are ‘co-operating bodies’. They are less likely to be involved in the heart of planning work, but will be heavily involved in incidents that affect their own sector.

Most of the responding agencies that make up the Cheshire Resilience Forum will pro actively issue information and advice that will help you to prepare for emergencies.
The primary channel through which this is done is social media, though information will also be posted on agency websites and through local TV, radio and press.
